The Relationship Tab

The relationships tab, shows all entities associated with the selected case. These may be parties in a legal sense, such as defendants or plaintiffs, or they may be other entities with an interest in the case. Examples of these are shown in the list. Other cases, can also be included in the relationships.

Each entity can have two cheap jerseys roles. First, they have their basic role in the global database. These are typically broad categories, such as doctor, attorney, etc. They also have the role they play in each specific case. In our example, Doctor LaPorte’s role in the database is doctor. On this specific case, she’s the IME doctor. We Flush can access her information by double clicking on the entry.

Relationships are a two-way association. Now that the doctor’s information is displayed, you can see all the current cases with which she is associated. If you wish to see all cases she’s ever been involved cheap NFL jerseys with, uncheck the exclude-closed checkbox. Now, all cases will be displayed. Closed cases, will be displayed in red. Keep in mind, not only cases, but other entities can be related to each other. To return to the case you came from, select the primary button.

There are two ways to tag entities to a case. The first, is to manually tag them, using the Tag button. This will bring you to the tag screen for this entity. All parties in the database will be displayed on the left. The entities currently related to the case, will be displayed on the right, as well as their relationship. By default, parties will be displayed when coming from a case, and cases will be displayed when coming from a party. You can change the available list by selecting one of the Wholesale Miami Dolphins Jerseys buttons on the side bar. To add a new relationship, highlight the party you wish to add to the case. Double click on the entry.

Now, you need to indicate the selected entities relationship to the case. A list of available roles will appear. Roles setup as tag only roles, will not display in the list. They’re used Settlement for automatic tagging, which will be discussed later. Select a role and click OK. Once you have chosen the tag role, your new party will be tagged. We chose the role mediator for Alan Ahart and he is now in the relationship list. You can reduce the number of choices in the display list, by selecting a specific database role.

We selected ATTORNEY. Now only available attorneys will show on the left. Select the new button, if the party you wish to tag, is not currently in the database. You can now enter klaar the new party. They’ll then be available for tagging. You can also un tag parties that are incorrectly or inadvertently tagged. Highlight the party you wish to un tag, and click on the Un tag button.

Confirm the un tagging, by answering OK. The un tagged party, Paula will disappear from the relationships list. Automatic tagging can be programmed into questionnaire lookups. When a party is selected from a lookup, it can automatically be tagged to the case, using the specified tag role. This is where entity roles, designated as tag only roles, can be utilized.
